Some 54 per cent of UK travellers will go on a trip abroad this year.
According to research by Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo Credit Cards, 58 per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds are set to go away – some of whom could be set for Kenya holidays.
A total of seven per cent of those questioned who are going to foreign climes have yet to make their mind up as to where.
Nearly two-fifths of those in the 18-24 age group want to experience new destinations and culture.
Richard Thomas, head of loyalty credit cards at Lloyds TSB, said: "This research shows that a desire for rest and relaxation as well as a thirst for adventure continue to fuel Britain's love affair with jumping on a plane and jetting off overseas."
For holidaymakers eager to sample some of the delights of Kenya, there are a number of safari parks and sanctuaries, while Mombasa also has plenty to offer.
