South Africa holidays may involve shopping trip

Fashionistas may be keen to check out the Pan Africa Shopping Mall in Alexandra.

It could be the perfect tonic for those on South Africa holidays and the site is set to benefit from a major refurbishment and expansion.

Over 2,500 sq m of retail space will be added to the location, which means there will be a number of great new shops for people to take advantage of.

"National retailers are taking note of the centre’s success, especially as a springboard into the township market," said Gavin Tagg, managing director of the Retail Network Company Services.

At present, over 1,000 people make use of the area on a daily basis and this could be set to rise in the future once the redevelopment project is complete.

Alternatively, individuals who do not like shopping could relax on one of South Africa's 27 Blue Flag beaches, after four more were added for 2011-12.
