New hotel launched in central Maputo
Mozambique’s capital city Maputo has received a new Raddison Blu hotel offering travellers favourable accommodation, which boasts views across the Indian Ocean as well as being located central to the city’s most popular attractions.
The brand name Raddison Blu refers to hotels outside the United States where the company is headquartered and the new Maputo hub will comprise 154 rooms, which are a short distance from the lively city centre as well as the International Airport offering swift transit after potential long flights.
Raddison are part of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group which has been described as one of the fastest growing accommodation companies in the world.
Holidays to Mozambique and Maputo in particular may often include a trip to tourist hotspots such as the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of Fatima, the Coconuts Entertainment Centre, the Polana Casino and the Natural History Museum with all these attractions just a short ride from the Raddison.
Maputo is a small city so getting around isn’t too much of an issue but if travellers wish to base themselves at the hotel, there are a plethora of amenities such as the Filini Bar & Restaurant which serves Italian influenced meals as well as the Oceano Bar – a purpose built hangout for friends, family and business partners to relax and enjoy a drink.
Furthermore, the Palmeira Lounge and Pool Bar offer guests a wide range of retreats to choose from meaning the hotel feels like an attraction all in itself. Aside from the eateries, Raddison Blu Maputo also includes a designated tanning area as well as a fitness room and generously sized swimming pool.
