The Makanyane Safari Lodge is to let children under the age of 12 into it during school breaks.
Because of the announcement, which may interest those with South Africa holidays booked, it means that parents who have youngsters can now consider the location as a potential stop.
The venue is in the 75,000-hectare Madikwe Game Reserve and has eight lavish suites for people to choose from, each of them offering a panoramic view of the surroundings.
Garth Kew, managing director at Makanyane Safari Lodge, said: "We wanted to open up the experience for families travelling during school holidays so they too can enjoy the unforgettable memories a holiday at the lodge offers."
He added that the resort – which boasts the big five game, as well as a range of other animals and birds – will tailor the safaris it brings its guests on depending on how many kids are present.
