It could be said that one of the main reasons for heading to Africa for a vacation is to see some of the amazing wildlife that the country has to offer, but choosing where to go in a continent so vast can be tricky.
Luckily, Tips from the T-List has compiled a rundown of the five best regions to visit if seeing animals is what those on safari holidays are interested in, with Botswana heading the list.
Here, it was observed that jet-setters can spot creatures in a number of ways, be it by jeep, a dugout canoe – known as a mokoro – or by riverboat, with the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park recommended.
This latter destination was recently featured in a Sydney Morning Herald article, which confirmed that there are lots of animals to see, such as leopard tortoises and warthogs.
In the catalogue, however, it was followed by Tanzania, which is "bursting with unspoiled beauty", Namibia, Rwanda – which could be perfect for anyone wanting to see gorillas – and South Africa.
