Those looking to go on safari may like to opt for Tanzania.
This is after Brian Jackman, writing for the Telegraph, recommended the country after a trip to Ruaha National Park.
He described red ochre game trails among smouldering purple hills, adding: "There was a rawness I had never seen before. This was the Africa of long ago."
Mr Jackman also noted that the beauty of the location was of a harsh kind and recounted seeing five male lions around the camp.
He concluded that life on safari holidays could not get much better and described the land as being painted in muted colours but glowing like amber when the sun went down.
Moreover, his views were echoed by Wale Olapade, writing a piece for the Nigerian Tribune, who pointed out that Tanzania is one of the finest locations in Africa to go for a safari excursion and suggested Selous Game Reserve among others.
