Tourism South Africa has launched a new marketing campaign to entice overseas visitors to the location.
As a result of the push, holidays to South Africa could rise as the body seeks to highlight the welcoming and exciting nature of the country.
Roshene Singh, chief marketing officer at the group, noted the use of ordinary people to show how "accessible" the destination is forms a large part of the directive.
"We successfully position South Africa as accessible to billions of travel consumers the world over," she stated.
TripAdvisor's Traveler's Choice Awards recently named Cape Town – the second biggest metropolis in the country – as the world's most desirable holiday city.
Ms Singh noted it is great to see people are appreciating what the nation has to offer, adding: "We have always known that South Africa is the best place on earth to visit."
Jamie Theakston is one of four UK celebrities currently visiting the area as part of a different campaign.
