Cape Town is to show off its cultural roots as part of World Tourism Day.
The mixture of natural beauty and people is something the city is famous for and so those on South Africa holidays could make their way to the location.
Councillor Grant Pascoe, a mayoral committee member for tourism, events and marketing, noted the "spirit" of the individuals who live in Cape Town is central to their identity.
"We need to acknowledge tourism development as a key part of economic prosperity and carefully balance heritage conservation with the need for urban growth," he added.
World Tourism Day – which is operated by the United Nations World Tourism Organization – takes place on September 27th.
As well as hosting a celebration for that, the area is waiting to find out whether or not Table Mountain has been named as one of the new seven wonders of nature.
Some 28 attractions are on the shortlist.
