The hugely popular US TV programme the Today Show, could be responsible for making Africa the go-to travel destination of 2012.
It has featured the country of Namibia in a segment of the show called Where in the World is Matt Lauer?
The world travel segment has been running for ten years and to celebrate the milestone, a week-long series will run starting with a visit to Namibia.
Lauer was filmed at the top of a sand dune before sand boarding down it.
"We're in one of the most amazing countries we've been to in the ten years I've been doing this series," he said. "It's like something out of a movie."
Namibia is on the boarder of South Africa and could make for a unique trip during safari holidays as there is so much to see and do.
The presenter showed off the conservation efforts made in Namibia, including the protection of the desert-adapted black rhino and he also visited the Sossusvlei dunes and Damaraland.
