Africa will be ‘new international hotspot’
2013 looks as if it’s going to be a big year for Africa. At the World Travel Awards (WTA) this month, many of Africa’s luxury travel brands, resorts and hotels received high praise.
Graham Cooke, President and Founder of the WTA, told Travel Daily News, “Our winners are drawn from the breadth of Africa, reflecting how the outstanding natural attractions of the continent are being complimented with a growing portfolio of luxury facilities.”
Magical Kenya received the honor of “Africa’s Leading Tourist Board”. The website, which is designed to showcase Kenya’s many attractions, is a great resource for those planning holidays in Kenya.
There is no better time to book a holiday to Kenya, with an abundance of wildlife and natural beauty, the country is the perfect getaway for even the smallest adventurer.
Other countries in Africa are also growing in popularity, with a number of South African businesses and destinations also being recognized at the WTAs.
Kraig Becker, from travel blog Gadling, agreed with the awards and praised the country: “Having visited South Africa myself, it is easy to understand why it is such a popular destination. The country truly has something to offer travelers of all types.”
Looking towards the next year, service providers have diversified their services, offering greater choice of packages, tours and accommodations.
The WTA were created to reward the best travel brands of the year based on quality, innovation and service. Hailed as the Oscars of the travel industry, it certainly is an honor for Africa to receive so many accolades.
